The founder, President & Principal was a prolific writer and wrote many articles in newspapers, magazines etc, He wrote a book ‘The Parallel government in Satara’ on a phase of the Quit India Movement.Shri Kalikadevi Nagari Sahakari Path Sanstha having his 201 crors of working capital is a gracious outcome of cooperative concept like movement proposed by respectable son of karad city Late Shri Yashwantraoji Chavan (founder of Maharashtra State).At that time, KNS is surrounded by at least of 25 to 26 houses called Kasar Galli in the centre of Karad City. In the year 1988 Shri Munir Gulab Bagwan (Savkar) expressed his concepts and planning with pat sanstha to his colleagues when he was working for Ganesh Mandal Group as a friend circle. KNS pat sanstha initiated its working with minimum of Rs.12000 share capital from 500 members on the leased piece of land of Kasar Samaj.


Keeping in view the collection and safeguard of deposit of common people / members KNS has tried to his best to strengthen the relationship with commercial personalities and common merchants arranging by many financial activities and programs. In the first five years reaching the deposit target of Rs. 1.11 Crors KNS has financed needy peoples/members within limits of Karad Taluka. KNS has encouraged the habit of saving money as well as strengthen entrepreneurship in the common people Progress of KNS has sprouted rapidly when Shri Munir Bagawan (Savkar) has selected as a Board of Director in 1993 as he was working only as a guide previously. In the next Five years KNS has been successfully collected Deposits of Rs. 2.70 Crores with trust worthy efforts of All Board of Director and Management core Group and co-workers also. During the period deposits have rapidly increase and side by side KNS has accepted the policy of encouraging education, literature & sports area in Society. Separate Funds are collected for their own building as it was initial dream of latest modern Building. In the year 2000 KNS purchased 750 Sq.Fit lands in Kasar Galli, Karad, Maharashtra, India from the financial provision out of collected funds. Thus, facing many difficulties KNS built a modern three flour Building in a year. And it is fully equipped with advance computer technology adopted by KNS. Result of new latest building KNS as came in the lime light with special dignity and public support. At this time deposits have increased from Rs. 4.57 crors to Rs.12.57 crors.

KNS has promoted as a best cooperative financial institute on 25th March 2004 in the name of Late Yashawantraoji Chavan and awarded a certificate and memorial Mark by Dist. Deputy Register Dr. Sanjay Kumar Bhosale. Late Shri. M.Tribhune and Late Shri. Jayantilal Bhandari and Present members of the KNS Shri. Sanjay Mohire, Shri. Balaso Mohire worked with full enthusiasm for institute when they were on the post of president. Late Shri. Jaywantrao Jadhav (Nagaradhyaksha of Karad City) has also supported heartility for KNS. Now a day’s his wife Smt. Jayarani Jadhav and his brother Shri. Arun Jadhav is working with KNS as a board of Director. At present KNS have Deposits are Rs. 140 Crors and they financed Rs.115 Crors to common members of institution and reputed entrepreneurs (Business man) KNS initiated facilities of E payment, vat -tax receipt, RTGS/NETF and multi city cheque/DD arrangement with the help of SBI, Bank of Maharashtra, HDFC and Axis Bank for common and commercial/ Mercantile persons in Karad and surrounded area through internet banking system. Now KNS is well reputed as a fully advanced equipped with net banking facilities. Also KNS is working as a channel partner with HDFC bank.

KNS have created many facilities to his customers, Members through Bank of Maharashara, IDBI Bank, Axis Bank, Syndicate Bank. Shri. Munir Bagawan (Savakar) is a founder of institute till today helping in day today work of KNS. Manager Shri. Vivek Velapure and co-staff are working out new projects for the progress of institutes. Presently, Prof. Ashok Chavan, Shri. Arun Jadhav, Smt. Jayarani Jadhav, Shri. Gajanan Mohire, Shri. Balasaheb Patil (Vasu Pailawan), Shri. Sham Velapure, Shri. Baburao Surve, Dr. Santosh Mohire, Shri. Sharadchandra Desai, Shri. Anil Sonavane, Shri. Rajendra Sathe & Shri. Mundravale are working as a Board of Director. There are so Many personalities working in the field of education, literature, arts and cooperative movement in Karad city which is the working area of Late Yashwantraoji Chavan. Out of them Shri.Munir Bagwan (Savakar) is a distinguished sociable person. KNS awarded Bhaskar National Award, by Chief Minister of Goa State Shri Pratapshinh Rane in the event of special programme arranged by The Pride of India at Goa on 4th June 2007. After selection for this award The Board of Director showered the best wished to KNS. KNS is working for the main aim (object) creation of self employment well cultured human society as well as promoting entrepreneurs.
